Fees

Who is the PAMT intended for?

The Summer Academy for Young Talents is intended for students of lower music schools, high school students, and university students who wish to improve their musical knowledge. Classes will be held at the Music School Radlje ob Dravi, where participants will also have the opportunity to practice. The education is based on individual lessons. During their free time, participants will have various activities for relaxation and fun in collaboration with ŠKTM, so it is recommended to bring appropriate equipment.

The contribution for education is €200, and the costs for accommodation and meals are €150. Participants will be accommodated at Hostel Mahrenberg Radlje, which is in close proximity to the music school. The contribution for education must be paid by June 30th.

Activities

In addition to classes, we organize daily activities that help with socialization, making friendships, and active participation with one another.

  • Preparing a communal dinner and a competition for the best pancake,

  • Collaboration with educators from the public institution ŠKTM Radlje, where children socialize, play table tennis, and darts in their facilities,

  • Sound bath or relaxation with gongs,

  • If the weather is nice, swimming is organized at the Reš swimming pool,

  • A picnic for all participants in the park in front of the music school.

All activities are adjusted based on the groups and their interests.

Saša Gerželj 

Saša Gerželj began her musical journey at the Conservatory for Music and Ballet in Maribor, under the guidance of Lili Berglez and Janko Šetinc. At the age of 16, she successfully passed the entrance exam to the University of Applied Arts and Music in Graz, where she graduated with honors in both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies under the tutelage of Dr. Walter Kamper …

Nikolaos Zafranas

Nikos Zafranas, pianist, was born in Thessaloniki. He received his piano diploma from the National Conservatory in Athens in the class of Domna Evnouhidou. He continued his studies at the University of Illinois, USA, under Ian Hobson, and at the University of Applied Arts in Graz with W. Kamper, where he earned his Master’s degree in “Magister Artium.” He excelled in numerous competitions in Greece and abroad.

Propositions

  • The Summer Academy for Young Talents is open for registration to anyone with sufficient prior knowledge of playing the piano, as well as to music school students, high school students, and university students.
  • Participants must prepare one piece for the final concert and one piece for work during the academy.
  • The number of participants per mentor is limited to 9. In case of a higher number of applications, candidates will be assigned to an additional mentor or assistant.
  • Participants will be divided according to their level of education and the number of applications: Saša Gerželj Donaldson: lower, middle, and higher levels – university students. Additional mentor: lower, middle, and higher levels – university students.
  • Participants will have lessons every day, lasting from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on their prior knowledge. The lesson duration is determined by the mentor.
  • Practice sessions are available at the music school on pianos, upright pianos, and keyboards.
  • In the case of a higher number of applications, each participant’s practice time will be divided according to the schedule, and an additional mentor will be added based on the selection of the artistic director.
